CRUISE'N SILSBEE 2008
First let me say thank you to all those that helped with the event. There are so many to thank I would hate to leave
anyone out so I just have to give out a generic thank you to cover all bases. You all can't imagine how we appreciate
all the help. There is, however, one special group of students that do deserve recognition for taking their Saturday off
from school to help us in the blistering heat. Thank you to the National Honor Society students for coming out and not
only helping with the event, but helping raise money for USW Helping Hands. I must also thank all those that made
donations to help put this show on, without these funds we would not be able to have a successful event. A big
thanks goes out to my City of Silsbee, City Council and Chamber of Commerce for allowing this event to take place in
the City of Silsbee and supporting it. One last thank you to the Hardin County Sheriff's Department for bringing help
with cleanup after the event on Sunday. Clean up after the show is a huge help to us in keeping the event positive
each and every year.
We had a great turnout last year considering those pesky "Love Bugs" were out in full force along with the heat. We
were still able to bring in over $8000 to the USW Helping Hands organization. We are already planning this yeas
event for September 19th & 20th to try to avoid those bugs. We are also making some changes to the show with the
addition of different classes for show cars and select judges for the event picked by the committee. If you are
